$200 for this. Park Avenue ultra. Supercharged 3800, wrecked. No wheels, three brake calipers. My buddy bought it to have a spare engine which started and ran on starter fluid. No rod knock or anything so we deemed it “good enough”, tossed some Buick wheels on the front and some 315 drag radials on the back and hauled it, eventually, onto the rollback.

There was also a Riviera which had been used for small-arms target practice.

Kinja'd!!!

We didn’t take that one home.

Its still disorienting to see ‘90s cars junked like that. I mean, I remember vividly when they were brand spanking new, as well as the period when they were solid choice lightly used cars. Guess I’m getting old.

I still visualize junkyard stock as all 1970s and earlier.

It’s crazy. People online are trying to seek those superchargers rebuilt for that price. You can get a rebuild kit for $60!

Take it from me, it’s getting very hard to find 70s era cars in junkyards. They’ve either already been crushed or they’re somebody’s project. In other words, you’re getting old.

I know exactly how you feel. I remember when these and others like LHS Chryslers hit the streets. Looking at them brand new I couldn’t comprehend what they’d look like as beaters or yard fodder.
